Notes on the 2019 vintage are not yet available.

Tasting notes on the 2018 vintage:
'The nose is very fragrant with notes of honeysuckle, citrus, peach, pineapple, a hint of bee’s wax plus a little spice in the background while the palate has excellent fruit concentration, tangy acidity and a slightly bitter finish. Plenty of weight and power, this’s the antithesis of the ethereal wines being made by the likes of Alheit or David & Nadia but compelling in its own way.' – Christian Eedes,, 94/100

'Diverse methods, 75% carbonic maceration, 21 days skin contact, wild ferment, half each French oak & concrete ‘eggs’ to create 2018. Lime peel & quince, savoury underpin, ends saline, but it’s mainly about precision & style. Improves on 2017 (4 stars, 88 pts).' – Platter's Guide, 4.5* (93/100)

Tasting notes on the 2017 vintage:
'In what must represent the best quality to price ratio that we shall see this year, Stellenbosch property Laibach has added the extraordinarily good Chenin Blanc Sur Lie 2017 to its reserve range. The nose shows a floral top note before pear, white peach and naartjie plus only the vaguest hint of some leesy complexity. The palate has a weightless intensity about it – excellent fruit definition, lovey integrated acidity plus a little bitterness on the finish that is the mark of many high-quality local examples of the variety. Layers and layers of flavour, terrific harmony and length.' – Christian Eedes,, 96/100

About Laibach:
The Laibach farm, as we know it today, dates back to 1818 when it was originally called “Good Success”. It was later divided into 3 farms, one of which was purchased by Friedrich Laibach in 1994 and became Laibach farm. Laibach is located in Simonsberg, and has been converted to organic farming since the start of the century. The winemaking approach is one of minimal intervention so to allow the Simonsberg-Stellenbosch site to produce the flavours in the vineyards.
